I am a mid-fat, cis gendered, straight, white, able bodied, potentially neurodivergent woman.

My weight had always been something I felt like I needed to change or at the very least, be ashamed of. I was all or nothing in my approach to myself. Having been interested in food and nutrients from an early age and having a passion to want to help people led me to studying Human Nutrition in University.

I worked in a Dietetics and Nutrition department helping in heart rehabilitation and diabetes education. I even worked in family weight management. I wanted to become a nutrition counsellor but thought that I couldn’t because of my weight. I have never looked like any nutrition influencer. I became a Food and Nutrition teacher following my passion to help people and their health.

I am still passionate on passing my knowledge onto children and teaching them the joy of cooking.

I have always known deep down that we can be healthy at every size. I know I was healthy at whatever size I was but that need to be a person in a smaller body and achieve a “target” weight that has been shown to every single one of us took over.

I went on to try Slimming World a number of times, calorie counting, Slim Fast, fat free diets, vegan for thinness rather than ethical/moral reasons.

Each time, I would lose weight. But after a while, my weight would always rebound and I would end up heavier than when I started.

After discovering Health At Every Size and Intuitive Eating myself before my first child as born, I started on my own journey which eventually ended up with me becoming proffesionally invested in this way of eating.

I am now a professional that helps people accept their bodies while also learning how to nourish themselves in a realistic way that suits them with little time.

I am available for speaking and also guest podcasting. Please do get in contact with me.

Did you know I have a blog that you might like to read?

How I became a Body Image, Body Neutrality and Fat Acceptance coach and Intuitive Eating specialist

After starting on a journey of body positivity after having my first baby, I got to a good place but after my second baby, I couldn’t even recognise myself in the mirror anymore. I put all my work into my intuitive eating journey and into body acceptance and just knew this was what I was supposed to be doing to help women. I trained with the London Institute of Intuitive Eating to specialise in Intuitive Eating and have trained in Body Image. I now work with fat liberation and fat acceptance to really help untangle what we have learnt over the years about our body. I also have training in Counselling skills to be able to make your sessions as safe as possible.

I aim to help you ditch the diet for good and develop healthy behaviours and align with Health at every size principles. I want you to be in a place where you have fat acceptance so you can be present in your lives. I want you to be able to challenge your internalised fat phobia when and where it comes up. To take up space apologetically.

What I Do

I work with large/fat people exclusively to help them become OK with being in a large body. I help large bodied people learn how to support their health regardless of their weight through nutrition and intuitive eating approaches.

My Approach

My approach is totally anti-diet and fat positive. I work through social justice and intersectional feminist lens to help people see how their marginalised bodies and/or identities impacts their lived experience.

My Core Values

My core values include self compassion, kindness, person-centered, social justice and Health at every size aligned.
